Co-production group definition

‘Target poor performance’

Poor performance should be defined by each recipient in both absolute terms and by considering performance relative to other hospitals (e.g. lower quartile).

‘Relevant’

Recipients understand and the actions address the reasons for poor performance.

‘Actionable’

Action is resourced and agreed.

‘Specific’

States who would be doing what, as part of the action to improve care.

‘Time-bound’

When the action to improve would be completed.

‘Measurable’

How completion of the action will be confirmed.
