Table 1 Contraindications to mobilise

• Significant dose of vasoactive agents (e.g. >0.2 mcg/kg/min noradrenaline or equivalent)

• Mechanically ventilated with FiO₂ >0.6 and/or PEEP >12 cmH₂O or acutely worsening respiratory failure

• Acute neurological event

• Unstable spine or extremity fractures with contraindications to mobilise

• Active bleeding process
